Applying for a student visa in Canada can be a daunting task. There are many documents required and the application process can be complex. However, by being prepared and knowing what to expect, you can make the process much easier for yourself. In this blog post, we will go over how to apply for a student visa in Canada, what document requirements you will need, and some other helpful tips.
Student Visa in Canada Required Documents
The first step in applying for a student visa is to gather all of the required documents. You will need to submit proof of your identity, proof of financial support, proof of admission to a Canadian school, and a few other documents. For a complete list of required documents, you can visit the Government of Canada website.
Student Visa in Canada Submit Your Application
Once you have all of the required documents, you can begin filling out your application. You can do this online or by mail. If you are applying online, you will need to create an account on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.
Once you have an account, you can begin filling out your application form. Be sure to answer all questions truthfully and completely.
If you are applying by mail, you can download the application forms from the IRCC website. Once you have filled out the forms, send them to the address listed on the forms.
Remember to include all required documents with your application forms when submitting them.
Student Visa in Canada Pay Your Fees
The next step is to pay your fees. The fees for a student visa vary depending on your country of citizenship and how long your program is.
You can find up-to-date fee information on the IRCC website under “Fees for a study permit”. Once you know how much you need to pay, you can pay online or by mail using a credit card, debit card, or bank draft made out to the Receiver General for Canada.
To pay by mail, include your payment with your application forms and send them to the address listed on the forms. If you are paying online, follow the instructions on the IRCC website after logging into your account.
Select “Make a Payment” from the dashboard after logging in and follow the instructions from there. Remember to keep your receipt as proof of payment! If you do not include payment with your application forms, it will not be processed and will be returned to you without being processed.
Include a note detailing how much money needs to be paid and where it should come from if someone else is paying for your fees on your behalf so that they are able processing correctly without delay!
Wait for Processing
After submitting your application form along with all supporting documentation and payment, all that is left is to wait for processing! Depending on how busy they are at IRCC offices (which depends on things like seasonality), it can take anywhere from two weeks to four months for processing time so start planning ahead!
If additional information or documentation is needed during processing, IRCC officials will contact you directly either by phone or mail so it is important to keep IRCC updated with any changes in contact information (phone number, email address etc.).
You should receive an email notification letting you know that your study permit has been approved along with further instructions if applicable such as scheduling a biometrics appointment or arrival appointment!
