The latest installment of the MonsterVerse, Godzilla vs Kong, could continue on the big screen. With a worldwide box office gross nearing 400 million dollars, Adam Wingard’s film has been a box office success. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Legendary want to continue the Titans’ story.

Adam Wingard Indicates the Sequel To Godzilla VS Kong

Several reports indicate that Wingard is in the process of getting behind the scenes of the Godzilla vs Kong sequel. According to the medium mentioned above, one possible title for the new MonsterVerse installment is Son of Kong (in Spanish: Son of Kong ).

Hollow Earth, the giant gorilla’s home, is introduced in Godzilla vs Kong. It has long been believed that Kong was the last of his species and lived alone on Skull Island. Now that this Titan is there, could another be similar to him appear and act as a father figure to him? The Titan may hold more secrets that could indicate a potential sequel.

There are currently no further details on the project known. However, the first time a director directs behind the scenes in the MonsterVerse since Godzilla arose in 2014 will be Wingard if he reaches a deal with the studio to join the franchise once again. In addition to Thundercats, the director is also working on a live-action version of Face / Off and a sequel. Thus, no dates have been set for the pre-production of Godzilla vs. Kong, and no screenwriter has been assigned to the project.
